Really nice!

I absolutley love the song, the melody is really nice, really did give me that sense of Joy that i always look for.

The only thing i can say is that you should turn down the lead a little, it sorta' drowned most of the song out, but hey, this is The Five Team!

10/10.
5/5.

I'm glad you enjoyed it!
I might edit that lead volume when I'm really bored...
thanks for the nice review!

I love it!

I really love glitch DNB, and i love the work you did with how you crossed the two different genres.

The only thing that was ever so slightly offputting was the drums started clipping at point's, but hey, you can't have everything!

Nice song man, i really did enjoy it.

LiquidEcstacy responds:

Yeah. I'll fix the drums in the final version.

Thanks for the great review =)
Be sure to pop back by occasionally.

Gabber?

That kick sound's awful. To distorted and it is'nt punchy enough. Make your perc's Dominant over the rest of your instrument's and stuff.

The melody was nice though, i liked it.

Keep it up!

Dj-Rippa responds:

thanks.. I need to improve on drums in my songs.. i can make a melody in no time.. but drums kill me:P

I can't believe...

How pointless that guy below's me review was.

The song is immense. I was searching for some other song's in the Trance section that compare to this. Guess what i found?

Nothing.

You were my first reviewer, i think i was your's, and to see your song's all over the front page show's me how much you've progressed. Amazing work, and that feeling you get when the song end's, It's called Joy.

Kr1z responds:

Thx for the nice words ^^
Yeh I've progressed alot :D

Thx for the support!
Bye!

Hmmn

I think the song is really strange, (In a good way). You've replicated a Benassi style kick + synth effect, which i thought was pretty nice.

Make it longer, and keep on adding new stuff like bass's and pad's, otherwise it's get's unbearable boring.

LeDrewxCore responds:

oh yes i agree. I am currently looking for new instruments to do so. Thank you for the review.

Great

It's the intro that got me though, the piano sounded absolutley immense and it really did start getting me into the song. Then with the reverse effect when the synth comes in, i thought that sounded awesome. All your sound's are great, BUT.

I think the synth's and Drum's would sound alot better with a tiny dab of reverb, maybe add a slight delay on that intro synth that's hardly noticable, but it make's all the difference. I also noticed that you don't use Hit's or Crash cymbal's? I found that quite unique, although the first climax of the song, would have sounded better with a hit and a Crash going off at the same time.

But otherwise, it truly is an amazing piece of music, and deserves it's spot at the top of the Trance chart.

NemesisTheory responds:

From the feedback I'm getting the piano intro is definitely the thing that grabbed most people. :D I'm glad it did the same for you as I now definitely can see a pattern in what grabs someone's attention.

As for the reeverb and delay effects, let me try to explain - I didn't want to take the chance with reeverb, although you're definitely right it sounds better with stereo in a normal room but you never quite know how it turns out in the clubs, since the volume is boosted enormously and the reeverb will definitely stand out if you pump up the volume. It may even decrease some of the clarity, so I didn't want to risk it. That's theory though, I've no clue if it's that risky, it just looks like it to me.

I did indeed use crash cymbals but they're blended together with the snares. If you listen closefully during large buildups you can hear them "behind" the snare hits (during the 1:00 buildup for example). :)

I'm glad you like it mate, even moreso that you think it deserves top spot. <3

Honestly...

Ive been listening to this song ever since you released it, i alway's wanted it to get to the top spot, rating it 5 everyday. But now it has!

The song is amazing, i'ts perfect for doing The Robot to :3

I WUF YU :D:D

Rucklo responds:

man, i <3 you!
keep rating ;D

Umm

I dont know what to say apart from it really sounds like an 80's version of Trance.

I thought the lead's you used were terrible, they didnt fit well together at all. Drums were lets face it, a bit naff. they didnt have the PUNCH that a great trance song has. I didnt like the song at all, but i know some other people do, so i cant really say much.

And by the way, if you think this is a harsh review, im reviewing you as if you are at a proffesional level, so dont take it personally. :)

Sp1r1T responds:

:P Yeah.

It got top 5. I guess its what people liked. But I think my style of trance is different from what people expect. Like they expect the Pianos and emotional strings and melodies, whereas mines just... basic.

Right.

I think you're synth's and instruments are really good, everything was set out well and there was a lot of variation in it.

The only downside to the song :

Your percussive stuff.

You need to get some better drum samples then the preset Dance Pack on FL. Send me a PM with your MSN or AIM and i'll get you some better sample's :)
